Over the last few years, we have not seen real action taken to combat climate change and to promote a cleaner, greener Framingham.

As a young person, the environment is very important to me, and it always has been. From leading a recycling initiative at McCarthy Elementary to participating in Keep Framingham Beautiful, I am committed to creating a more sustainable Framingham. I believe that we cannot afford to sit on our hands any longer, and as Councilor I will be dedicated to finding solutions that work for Framingham. Working with my neighbors, local environmental groups, business owners, the Metropolitan Area Planning Council, and our neighboring communities, we can and must find creative solutions to our most pressing climate issues.

Taking action on this issue
  • Transitioning our city-wide fleet of vehicles to EV
  • Implementing a comprehensive municipal solar plan throughout the City
  • Launching a city-sponsored youth education & training program on sustainable initiatives & creating a “cleanup corps” to support the many volunteers who are cleaning our streets each day.
  • Partnering with our neighboring communities to craft regional plans to jointly combat climate change.
  • Creating a city-wide composting program.
  • Setting actionable goals & deadlines for the Sustainability Committee

In my short time as a Town Councilor, I have seen the immense power of instilling both new energy and new perspective in local government.  I have always found Jake to be a collaborative leader and am confident he has the mindset, enthusiasm, and experience to positively contribute to the future of Framingham.

Town Councilor - Town of Franklin

As a mayor in the Commonwealth, I’ve seen first hand how young ideas, backed by experience, can truly help a community grow and adapt for a stronger tomorrow. A fresh perspective that utilizes the City’s strong past as a foundation for new innovation can only help bring the City fully into a modern, vibrant community. Jake brings a unique perspective that gives him the skills, integrity, enthusiasm, and knowledge to make a positive impact on the City from Day 1.
